We will create a comprehensive estate plan that fits your financial situation and family needs. This includes wills, trusts, health care proxies and special needs trusts. We are available to support you through probate and, if desired, estate administration.

REAL ESTATE

We support sales and acquisitions for both commercial and personal real estate, including residential and commercial leases, purchase and sales agreements, document preparation and filing of the appropriate deeds.

ELDER LAW

We help our clients achieve peace of mind by assisting with decisions regarding long term care planning, guardianship and other legal matters present as we age.

SMALL BUSINESS AND BANKING INSTITUTION REPRESENTATION

We assist our small business clients with the formation of Corporations and LLCs, including operating agreements and bylaws, contract development and negotiation, and purchase and sales agreements. We support the business needs of banks in their commercial and residential real estate lending.

OUR HISTORY

The Law Firm of Koury, Tighe, Lapres, Bisulca & Sommers, P.C. is a long-standing law firm rooted in the Atlantic County, NJ area for several decades.

 

  • In 1978 Robert C. Koury (1915-2004), Eugene Tighe, Jr., (1926-2011) and Theodore E. Lapres, Jr., (1920-1997) formed the Firm of Koury, Tighe & Lapres.

 

  • In 1978 Peter Bisulca joined the Firm as an associate and became a partner in 1981; the firm is renamed Koury, Tighe, Lapres & Bisulca.

 

  • In 1988 John M. Sommers joined the Firm as an associate and became a partner in 1991.

 

  • In 1993 The Firm became known as Koury, Tighe, Lapres, Bisulca & Sommers, P.C. and opened a new office in Northfield, NJ.

 

  • In 2017 the Firm moved its offices to its current location - Lost Pine Village & Professional Building, 634 Lost Pine Way, Suite 5, Galloway, New Jersey, 08205.

 

The Firm has represented individual and corporate clients in a variety of legal practice areas.  Our practice emphasis is in the fields of Wills, Estates and Trusts, Elder Law, Residential & Commercial Real Estate Purchases and Sales, Real Estate Tax Appeals, Small Business representation, Banking Law, and Mortgage Loan Documentation.

 

The Firm is currently general counsel to The First National Bank of Absecon, New Jersey, commencing that representation in 1991. PETER BISULCA
Peter Bisulca joined the firm in 1978 and became a partner in 1981.  He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and admitted to practice in New Jersey and to the Federal District Court of New Jersey in 1978.  Mr. Bisulca is a 1973 graduate of the University of Dayton (BA Political Science) and a 1977 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law.

Mr. Bisulca's practice focuses in the fields of Wills and Trusts, Residential & Commercial Real Estate Purchases and Sales, Small Business Representation, and with his partner serves as outside counsel to the First National Bank of Absecon.

JOHN M. SOMMERS
After having practiced in New York State for four years, John M. Sommers joined the firm in September of 1988 and became a partner in 1991. Mr. Sommers is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the Federal District Court of New Jersey (1988) and New York and the Federal District Court of New York (1984). Mr. Sommers is a 1978 graduate of Canisius College (B.A. English) and a 1983 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law.

Mr. Sommers' practice focuses in the fields of Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, Elder Law, Residential & Commercial Real Estate Purchases and Sales, Real Estate Tax Appeals, Small Business Representation, and with his partner serves as the outside counsel for the First National Bank of Absecon.
